Description

The Golisano Children's Hospital Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Center (PPEC) is a friendly and nurturing place for children who require skilled nursing care. PPEC provides an array of services for children with special medical needs including day health care, developmental planning and interventions, therapies and rehabilitation, case management, and parental support and education. PPEC is staffed with skilled nurses and CNA's trained to identify and treat acute illnesses or chronic conditions to avert possible hospitalization and interruption in the child's treatment program. Our staff works directly with pediatricians, therapists, social workers, developmental specialists, teachers, pediatric subspecialists and dieticians to provide comprehensive medical care. Services include: Gastrostomy Tubes (G-Tubes) Oxygen Apnea Monitors Central Lines Tracheostomy (Trach) tubes Failure to Thrive Ostomies Pulse Oximeters Seizures Pre/Post Surgical Problems
